Bookstore to the Rescue is our program where a portion of your financial aid refund may be used in the University of West Georgia Bookstore. Below are our most Frequently Asked Questions that can help guide you through the application process, knowing the amount you can use, and more!

  1. Log onto your OneLogin
  2. Click on the Student Self-Service Tile
  3. Click on "Account Summary" - in the Student Account Section
  4. Review your breakdown bill to see if you have an estimated refund amount. 

If you have an estimated refund below $1000, then you may charge only the amount of your estimated refund at the Bookstore.

If you have an estimated refund of $1000 or more, then you are eligible to charge $1000 at the Bookstore.

*If your refund is generated because you paid by credit card, cash, or check, you may be ineligible for Bookstore to the Rescue Credit.

In order to use your refund at the Bookstore, you must register for the Bookstore to the Rescue Credit first.

  2. Click on the Student Self-Service Tile
  3. Click on "Bookstore to the Rescue Permission" - in the Financial Aid Section

*Please note these applications load overnight so you will be able to visit the University of West Georgia Bookstore the day after you complete the application on Banweb. Just tell the cashier you are participating in the "Bookstore to the Rescue" program and present the cashier with your student ID.

The amount charged at the Bookstore will be deducted from your estimated refund. Please remember that any changes to your course schedule, meal plan, housing, or financial aid may result in you owing funds back to UWG.

Bookstore to the Rescue is available during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. The purchasing window typically begins one month prior to the beginning of each semester and extends through the drop/add dates published on the Scoop.

Refunds generated from private loans cannot be used until the funds arrive at UWG.

Students can only the estimated refunds from federal financial aid that are already showing up on their student breakdown bill. 

Any amount you do not use through Bookstore to the Rescue will remain part of your estimated refund and will process with the rest of your refund amount.

Please remember that any changes to your course schedule, meal plan, housing, or financial aid may result in you owing funds back to UWG.

Bookstore credit/ BTTR funds can be used on supplies too, not just textbooks!

You can use your Bookstore Credit online and have your books shipped to you!

You will enter your 917 when placing your online order and choose financial aid for the tender. 

*Please note there is a $14.99 charge for shipping if you cannot come in person and that amount will be deducted from your Bookstore Credit amount available when you check out.
