Through West in Thirty you can enroll our partnering college, West Georgia Technical College, while obtaining the necessary transfer requirements in order to become a fully admitted UWG student.

You have the opportunity to complete all necessary transfer requirements in an accelerated time frame, 24 transferable hours, which can be completed in as little as one year! This opportunity will give you the necessary resources to establish academic achievements at another college and then find your way West to complete your Bachelor’s Degree. Your Personalized Plan

UWG has partnered with West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) for West in Thirty. WGTC offers you a wide range of opportunities and a variety of different campuses for you to attend. Find out where each campus is located!

This form will give the University of West Georgia the permission to send your UWG Application, high school transcripts, and test scores to WGTC. By signing the release form, you also receive an admissions fee waiver for WGTC so you will not have to pay extra application fees. This form will also indicate your willingness to participate in West in Thirty and your intent to return to UWG in the near future.

The form can be submitted any of the following ways:

  • Standard mail
  • Scanned to email
  • Faxed to UWG’s Admissions Office

Once you have submitted the West in Thirty Agreement Form, WGTC will review your documents for admissibility. No additional application fee will be required. However, you may be contacted to complete additional testing or submit additional information.

UWG suggests that you take Core Classes that will transfer to UWG and will provide you a strong base for your education. Please take time to explore the core classes that UWG has determined should transfer from West Georgia Technical College. For UWG transfer admission, you are expected to maintain a 2.0 GPA for at least 24 credit hours or receive an Associate’s Degree.

Once you’ve registered in courses that bring you to 24 transferable hours OR applied for graduation with your Associate’s degree, update your University of West Georgia admissions application.

Submit an official, preliminary transcript and other possible requested documents by the corresponding priority deadline for the semester you want to transfer to the University of West Georgia:

  • Fall – July 13
  • Spring – November 15
  • Summer – May 15
