Share Your Time and Talent.

UWG Continuing Education is seeking new instructors. Do you have a special talent or area of expertise? Do you want to share your skills and knowledge? Our mission is to provide quality lifelong learning that is responsive, relevant, and accessible. Our programs are generated from the philosophy that learning is a rewarding experience that occurs most fully in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. We are seeking qualified instructors with expertise in the full range of  professional development and personal enrichment topic areas for youth and adult learners. We offer face-to-face instructor-led courses at UWG Carrollton and UWG Newnan as well as online and hybrid courses.

Instructor Proposal

If you are interested in instructing a class, workshop or seminar, we encourage you to complete and submit a course proposal. Our programs are usually planned several months in advance. Customized training programs are scheduled as needed.

You may submit the proposal along with a resume or CV to UWG Continuing Education by e-mail, FAX, mail, or in person. The proposal should be sent to the attention of Marty Davis, Director of UWG Continuing Education.

All new Continuing Education Instructors are required to complete a background check prior to employment. The University of West Georgia's background check vendor, Accurate Background, has a feature that allows a link to be sent directly to the individual to complete their personal information.

Additional Youth Instructor Requirement

In compliance with the Georgia Board of Regents and UWG Policy 9.5 - Protection of Minors on Campus, all Youth Instructors must provide documentation of State Mandated Reporter Training. We offer the Darkness to Light (D2l) Stewards of Children 2-Hour Training upon request.
