The State of Georgia is a global leader in film production, and the economic impact of Georgia-lensed feature film and television productions has been estimated at over $3 billion. The University of West Georgia is ready to prepare you to be a part of it.

Georgia Film Consortium

The Georgia Film Consortium is a collaborative effort of the institutions of the University System supporting workforce needs of the film and digital entertainment industries.

The GFC higher education program offers rigorous professional training, and may lead to union-covered film and television production craft internships and placement in creative industries apprenticeships and jobs.

UWG students can take advantage of the  Georgia Film Consortium (GFC) Production certificate, which offers students a new path to employment in Georgia through connections with film, television, and digital entertainment industry employers. An 18 credit hour program, the GFC Production certificate provides firsthand experience of basic film skills and be integrated with the following BA, BS, and BIS degrees:
