Nearly 1,300 internal and external stakeholders – including students, faculty, staff, alumni, supporters, and business and community leaders – have participated in the strategic planning process to set the course for the University of West Georgia’s future.

Through nearly 100 Discovery Sessions and the fielding of a survey instrument that garnered more than 900 responses, the institution has gathered input from cohesive, far-reaching, and collective voices to guide what the university will become.

The data collected, organized, and analyzed by the Strategic Planning Steering Team has been shared with a group of UWG leaders who will further validate and prioritize themes that have emerged from the first stage of the process.

Following the current stage, Strategic Planning Prioritization, the final version of the strategic plan will be developed, submitted to the University System of Georgia Board of Regents for review, and shared with campus/community stakeholders – all as part of Stage III, Strategic Plan Delivery.

The strategic plan that will guide the institution over the next decade and beyond will launch in early 2021.
