Campus Center - West Georgia Outdoors Rental Center

Wednesday, August 18, 2021 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM

The How-to-outdoors workshop series will help equip you for any successful outdoor adventure. You’ll learn everything from safety, shelter, nutrition, trip planning, and much more. Participants will be able to put all of the skills and knowledge they learn from the previous workshops into practice by coaching individuals on how to create their very own adventure through a capstone workshop (information about this final workshop will be provided to participants directly). These participants will be awarded a certificate of completion for attending at least 3 workshop events and completing the capstone workshop.

Wilderness safety is critical to enjoying a successful outdoor adventure. Come learn important safety skills in areas such as first aid, personal care, animal, plant safety, and many more. This is designed to give you an overview of the essential safety skills for a successful wilderness adventure.
