Neighborhoods are specialized living environments for small groups of students centered on specific themes and integrating common academic courses, custom programming, or mentoring by faculty/staff.

This community is open to any student who wants to build their leadership skills, no matter their major or experience level. You will live alongside peers who are just as motivated to get connected, get involved, and make a difference on campus.

Residents will take part in programs that strengthen communication, teamwork, and confidence through involvement with groups like RHA, SAC, service projects, and peer mentorship opportunities. You will also gain a clearer understanding of how campus leadership works by collaborating with organizations such as the Student Activities Council, RHA, and RA teams.

Creative Commons Neighborhood (The Arts)

Calling all creators, performers, and artists!
If you love music, visual arts, theater, dance, or any form of creative expression, this community is your stage. It is open to anyone who is interested, no matter what your major is. Enjoy open mic nights, gallery trips, collaborative art projects, and a lounge transformed into a full creative studio that is perfect for painting, filming, editing, rehearsing, or simply making something cool with friends.

Honors

Join a community of scholars for intellectual pursuits both in and out of the classroom! The Honors Neighborhood is dedicated to first-year students who are also members of the Honors College. Students will participate in programs that focus on increasing academic achievement, building community, and developing a sense of service.
Honors faculty, staff, and special guests host discussions, service projects, and social events. Honors Neighborhood students will be enrolled in common sections of an Honors interdisciplinary studies course that meets core curriculum requirements.

Global Languages and Career Enrichment (GLACE)
A Neighborhood for Globally-Minded Students

Are you interested in languages? Want to study abroad? To work internationally? To watch international films? To broaden your understanding of global citizenship? If so, GLACE is for you! In this community, you’ll live with students who share your interests. You’ll take one required course together as well as language courses suited to your level.
Open to incoming freshmen, this community has appealed to many STEM and Business students who ended up adding a language minor or double major to enhance their academic profile and broaden their career opportunities.
GLACE students will be well situated to study abroad and to develop advanced competency in one or more languages with the ultimate aim of becoming more globally aware citizens, pursuing careers in multilingual or international settings, and engaging in thoughtful travel and interaction with varied peoples and cultures.
In the fall semester, students will enroll in XIDS 2100 (Language and Identity) or XIDS 2300 (Introduction to Linguistics) and a language course that will vary depending on background, inclination, and level of ability (6 hours total required): French; German; or Spanish. In the spring semester they will take a language class (3 hours required). Along the way, you’ll study with advanced language majors, enjoy cultural programs and dinners, and see what UWG has to offer for learning languages and international perspectives.

Howl House Neighborhood (Pet-Friendly)

A home for you and your furry friends.
This community is designed for second-year students who have approved animals or simply enjoy living around fellow animal lovers.
Located in University Suites 1, it follows our current pet-friendly model while adding programs that support the unique responsibilities and balance that come with your second year.
Live, learn, and thrive with your four-legged companions.
Residents will learn and practice responsible pet care, such as proper nutrition, exercise, and hygiene, while maintaining their focus on academics and campus involvement. You will also become familiar with community pet policies and shared living expectations that prepare you for responsible pet ownership long after college.

Wolf Tracks Neighborhood (Second-Year Experience)

This neighborhood is designed to support second-year students as they strengthen their connection to UWG traditions, grow their campus involvement, and explore the Carrollton community. Located in University Suites 2, Students are encouraged to step into leadership and mentorship roles while continuing to shape their identity and place on campus. Programming will include experiences throughout Carrollton, such as visiting Adamson Square, the Greenbelt, Lake Carroll, and Printers Alehouse, helping residents feel more connected to the community around them.

This neighborhood is designed for upperclassmen innovators and business-minded students who are excited about entrepreneurship, design thinking, and making an impact. Located in the Village Transfer House, this small cohort of 12 students creates an intimate and high-energy learning community that encourages creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem solving. In partnership with the Richards College of Business, a dedicated space will be transformed into a modern think tank and networking hub where big ideas come to life.
