About
The University of West Georgia eSports Program began with the inaugural League of Legends team in Spring of 2022 with the program's entrance to the Peach Belt Conference.
Since the program began, it has grown to 4 games in total and continues to look for dedicated players across UWG for recruitment and creation of new teams.
UWG eSports is committed to supporting students in their eSports career as well as being a student first!

Coach
Colin Chambers (Coach Lin), M.S., Head eSports Coach/Program Director
Coach Lin is a UWG eSports Alumni who was part of the inaugural eSports team from the program in League of Legends in 2022. Coach Lin has played in 3 Peach Belt Conference seasons, as well as multiple NACE Starleague Varsity Plus seasons in the Varsity League of Legends Team.
During his time in college, Coach Lin dedicated time and energy to continue to support the UWG eSports program and its commitment to the establishment of eSports in the South-Eastern United States. In 2024, he graduated from the University of West Georgia with a B.B.A in Management Information Systems - then returning in 2025 for his M.S. he was given the opportunity to become the new Program Director in 2026.
Recruitment & Tryouts
Process
- Interested students will fill out the Tryouts Interest Form.
- Students will be selected for Round 1 Tryouts.
- Final re-call tryouts will be scheduled.
- Final Rosters will be determined.
