UWG’s Winter West Wonderland Returns to Light Up the Season Share this page

Lights. Music. Holiday magic. Winter West Wonderland is back at the University of West Georgia, and it’s bigger, brighter and merrier than ever.
From Tuesday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 5, UWG’s Carrollton campus will once again transform into a festive holiday destination from 4-8 p.m. each evening, offering fun for the entire community.
A tree lighting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Guests can stroll through dazzling light sculptures designed by UWG art and computer science students, enjoy live holiday music and catch performances from UWG Theatre – including Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Townsend Center – and the community. Families can also participate in seasonal activities like DIY holiday crafts or cookie-decorating.

No Winter West Wonderland would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus and Winter Wolfie. Meet them both for the perfect photo opportunity to create lasting holiday memories. Visitors can also explore the Holiday Village, featuring local vendors offering arts, crafts and unique gifts for everyone on your list.
The event encourages giving back to the community, with opportunities to donate toys to Toys for Tots or nonperishable food and hygiene items to UWG’s Center for Integrative Wellness, supporting students in need.
To top it all off, local food vendors will serve a variety of meals, drinks and sweet treats throughout the event.
Whether you’re a student, alum or community member, Winter West Wonderland is your chance to celebrate the magic of the season and all that UWG has to offer. For more information and a list of festivities, please visit westga.edu/winter.
