Kelsey McEntyre, Ph.D

Kelsey McEntyre joined the University of West Georgia as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education in the Fall of 2022. Kelsey earned her doctoral degree in Sport Pedagogy from the University of Alabama in 2018, and comes to UWG with prior university and K-12 teaching experience. Some of Kelsey’s current leadership and service activities include operating as a co-PI for the Girls Empowering Movement (GEM), serving as the Chair-Elect for the Measurement and Evaluation SIG of SHAPE America, and fulfilling the role of Faculty Advisor for the UWG PE Major’s Club.  

Kelsey’s research interests include teacher-student interactions, socialization of preservice and inservice physical educators, and reflective practices.
