Award Set-Up
When you receive an award document, share it with ORSP as soon as possible. They will review it and administratively set up the award. If needed, ORSP will handle award negotiations. If we need any information – revised budgets, subcontract documents, compliance approvals, or certifications – the ORSP team will reach out to you. Account numbers are assigned by the ORSP team once all award and compliance documents are obtained.
Grant Kickoff
The Grant Kickoff is the official start of a funded project. During this time, the project team, partners and stakeholders come together to: - Review the goals and expectations of the grant - Confirm roles, responsibilities and timelines - Align on communications, reporting, and evaluation plans - Celebrate the beginning of the funded work it sets a shared understanding of how the project will move forward and ensures everyone is prepared to begin activities successfully.
When ORSP receives your award document, we will reach out to you to set up a Grant Kickoff meeting.
Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Any research that involves human subjects, whether funded internally or from extramural sources,
or not funded, that is undertaken by UWG faculty, staff or students, supported by or conducted at
the University of West Georgia, must be reviewed and approved by the IRB prior to soliciting
subjects or collecting data from any human subjects.
