Roosters amongst Wolves
The partnership between The University of the West Indies (The UWI) and the University of West Georgia (UWG) was a high point of the 2024 calendar for both organizations, the central plank of which is to foster cultural and academic exchanges, as well as to provide exposure to the differences in student life between the two institutions.

“Coming to UWG, I didn't know what to expect out of my college experience. Joining the Legacy League Program allowed me to not only make friends but create memories that would last a lifetime. Legacy League allowed me to study abroad in Brazil, mentor students, and call UWG a home away from home.”

“Being part of the UWG community has shown me how valuable an education is as a first-generation graduate. As a Goizueta scholar, I participated in many volunteer opportunities, met many great people, and was a part of several diversity events. These experiences at UWG have set me up for success.”

“As a first-generation college student, the Goizueta scholarship was life-changing as it made my dream of attending college possible. The Department of Multicultural Achievement connected me with peers of many different backgrounds and ethnicities, many of whom I’m still in contact with. Overall, UWG equipped me with the skill set to excel in my career and life.”

“Having a mentor at UWG provided me with an opportunity to establish my first networking opportunity. I gained an improved sense of self-awareness and unique opportunities to learn about college and navigating the real world.”

“Attending UWG was one of the many accomplishments I am proud of. I was the first in my family to attend a university and pay for my degree with scholarships. The Goizueta Scholarship allowed me to focus on my studies and build connections through community service projects.”
