Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment to visit the Momentum Center?

No appointment necessary—we’re happy to help whenever it’s most convenient for you! The Momentum Center is open for walk-ins Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Just come to the front desk when you arrive, and we’ll be happy to help you out!

What should I bring with me when I visit?

Please bring your UWG ID or drivers license to verify your identity if you'll be picking up a document or needing any account specific information printed out for you. Please feel free to also bring any relevant documents related to your inquiry (bills, letters, emails) so we can best support you.

What are the busiest times to visit?

The Momentum Center is typically busiest during the first two weeks of each semester, just before registration opens, and around payment deadlines. To avoid longer waits, we recommend visiting earlier in the day and well in advance of important campus deadlines. The earlier you reach out, the sooner we can help!

Can I get help without visiting in person?

Yes! We’re happy to assist you by phone or email if you’re unable to stop by. Just reach out and we’ll make sure you get the support you need.

What are the most common things that I can get help with at the Momentum Center?

Students and families most commonly request our help with topics such as: financial aid help, registration help, general advising questions, getting a student ID card or parking pass, meal plan or refund questions, Bookstore to the Rescue or short term loan applications, student account hold questions, and more!

What if I need help from multiple teams?

Our Student Solutions Specialists most commonly help with financial aid, admissions, billing, and registrar-related questions—but we’re also here for general campus inquiries, too. If additional assistance is needed beyond Momentum Center offerings, we’ll help you find the right person or office to get the support you need.

The Momentum Center also houses two other key student support teams—Campus Services, for help with parking, ID cards, and meal plans—and Advising, where an Advisor can assist with academic planning and support. No matter the issue, our team works together to make sure you get connected to the right resources—all in one visit!
