Karen Barker, Ed.D.

Dr. Karen Barker currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership, Research, and School Improvement. With more than 35 years of service in public education, she has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum director, and assistant superintendent, providing a comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities within today’s schools. Dr. Barker has extensive experience in curriculum and instruction, literacy, professional learning, and leadership development, having led initiatives that strengthened both student outcomes and educator effectiveness.
