Our galleries showcase contemporary artists and provide dedicated spaces for our UWG student artists to exhibit their work. Galleries are open to throughout the fall and spring semesters with an active exhibition schedule. We also invite talented artists and art historians to give talks throughout the academic year, creating opportunities for further demonstrations and discourse.
Admission is free to campus and community.

Why do some artworks achieve worldwide fame while most fall into obscurity? Aesthetic excellence and conceptual depth definitely matter, but so does timing, publicity, and even random luck. Come explore some of the surprising paths that the masterpieces of Western art took to reach iconic status.

Visual Arts Building Gallery
The Visual Arts Building showcases a range of exhibitions in its gallery and provides a space for students to learn by experience, curating their own shows to prepare for professional careers.
The Vault Gallery
The Vault Gallery is a state-of-the-art designed space inside Newnan's Wadsworth Auditorium that holds diverse exhibitions of community interest in partnership with the City of Newnan.
Emergency Art Gallery
A boutique micro-gallery for installations, the Emergency Art Gallery is located in the exit for classroom 1301 in the TLC Building.
The closest parking lot is beside the Townsend Center.
Gallery Spaces

Humanities Building: Studios for painting, drawing, and animation; labs for photography and graphic design; and classrooms for art education and history are located in the newly renovated Humanities Building, a 30+ million dollar state-of-the-art project, redesigned specifically for the arts.
Visual Arts Building: Visual Arts Building is also a new space created to house a printmaking studio, sculpture studio and foundry, and ceramics studio.
